History
The original name Nikolaevskaya Street (from Novo-Aleksandrovskaya Street to the Moscow line of the October Railway ) has been known since 1907, given along the Nikolaev (now Moscow) railway line [2] .
The modern name Tikhaya Street was given on February 22, 1939 due to the fact that the street runs along the Jewish cemetery, was renamed in a series of streets "designated for renaming, as consonant with the names of the enemies of the people." The section from Novo-Aleksandrovskaya street to Babushkina street and near the railway line was abolished in the 1960s [2] .
