Marek Matczynski ( Polish: Marek Matczyński ; 1631 - February 10, 1697 ) - military and political figure of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth , Russian governor (from 1692), the great crown undercarbon (from 1689), the great crown crown (from 1676), the headman Hrabovecki .

In his youth, Marek Matchinsky most likely was a corral in the regiment of King John II Casimir . In August 1649, he participated in the Battle of Zbor , then fought against the Cossacks, Russians and Swedes. During the rokosh Lyubomirsky became a friend of Jan Sobieski , and campaigned for his candidacy during the election of the king in 1674.
In 1677, Marek Matchinsky acquired land near Warsaw , which he transferred for residence to Jan Sobeski (in accordance with the law of the Commonwealth, the king could not acquire land holdings); subsequently, Wilanow Palace was erected on these lands. In 1683, he participated in the Battle of Vienna , and during the Battle of Parkans organized the protection of Jan Sobieski, when there was danger from the Turks. In 1686 and 1691 he participated in campaigns in Moldova .
In 1689–1692, Marek Matchinsky was the great crown subcarpony , and after his resignation from this post, he became Russian governor . Since 1693, his health began to deteriorate, so during the interregnum of 1696, he did not play any role.
Marek Matchinsky died on February 10, 1697 in Yavorov , and was buried in a church in Varyazh , built on his donations. He bequeathed the bulk of his property to the sons of Jan Sobieski.
