Clinical Nutrition Day (Nutririon Day, DCT) [1] is an international event dedicated to the problems of metabolism and nutritional deficiency . Organized by the European Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism Association (ESPEN) .
The first Clinical Nutrition Day took place on January 19, 2006: nutritional status was assessed in more than 15,000 hospitalized patients in 859 hospital hospitals in 26 European countries. The problem of nutritional deficiency was identified in 15-40% of patients.
Goals and objectives
The mission of Clinical Nutrition Day is to draw the attention of the medical community to the problem of nutritional deficiency in hospitals. [2]

- Reduced patient re-hospitalization due to malnutrition ;
- Reducing the costs of treating the effects of malnutrition ;
- Increasing the priority of clinical nutrition among medical doctors and therapists .
Tasks:
- Providing hospitals and medical continuums with the necessary data on clinical nutrition in order to optimize the approach to clinical nutrition and dietary care;
- Providing hospitals with clinical nutrition data for comparison with other participating facilities;
- Providing opportunities to assess the progress of participating facilities in annual reduction of cases of clinical malnutrition ;
- Providing educational programs for doctors and therapists involved in reducing the incidence of clinical malnutrition .

Nutrition Day in Russia
It was first held in Russia on November 15, 2011 under the auspices of ESPEN and the Russian National Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
Purpose: to draw the attention of the medical community to the problem of nutritional deficiency in hospitals.
