Biography
She graduated with honors from Harvard University (1988, Bachelor of Chemistry), where, under the guidance of Professor Joe Grabowski, she worked on a photoacoustic calorimeter ; was a member of Phi Beta Kappa (1987). In 1993, she received a Ph.D. in Berkeley, working on the chemical synthesis of oligosaccharide analogues, and studied the effects of endothelial oligosaccharides on facilitating cell adhesion in inflammatory foci as part of a postdoctoral program in immunology at the University of California, San Francisco . In 1996, she returned to Berkeley, enrolling in the staff of his chemistry department. Currently works in the field of glycobiology and bioorthogonal chemistry [3] . Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2003), Fello American Association for the Advancement of Science (2002).
