The flag of the municipality is the village of Khanymey of the Purovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the Russian Federation - an identification mark serving as the official symbol of the municipality.

The flag was approved on April 9, 2012 by the decision of the Assembly of Deputies of the municipality of the village of Khanymey No. 216 [1] and entered in the State Heraldry Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 7723.
After entering the flag in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation, by the decision of the Assembly of Deputies of the municipality, the village of Khanymey No. 16 [2] approved the drawing of the flag that was examined by the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation .
Description
“A rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, made up of two equal horizontal stripes of blue and green colors, in the center of which is an image of the sun with a burdening ball and a squirrel from the village coat of arms, made in white, yellow and blue. The reverse side mirrors the front. ”
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ In a crossed azure and green field, there is a silver sun shining with the same metal and glowing with gold, without a face image, burdened with a azure disk, having an edge in the form of alternating small sharp teeth and complex large ones - in the form of small inverted discs rafters, each of their shoulders bifurcated in the form of the same rafters; the disk is burdened with a golden lying squirrel . "
Justification of Symbols
The silver sun serves as an indication of the northern position of the territory, and its golden rays on the wealth of the subsoil by natural energy sources (oil, gas).
A ball with a decorative edge is a tribute to the history and traditions of the indigenous population.
Golden squirrel denotes forest wealth and indicates the village belongs to the Purovsky district.
