Alzamay (station)

It was commissioned in 1897, when the first train arrived from Nizhneudinsk. This event probably occurred in the second half of the summer, because the rails were laid from Krasnoyarsk to the 838th verst, and the first train arrived in Nizhneudinsk in September 1897. In 1901, a water pump and a water tower were built to supply steam to the locomotives. It was built near the station, 22 m high, with a tank with a capacity of 210 m ³ . Water was pumped into the tower tank by two locomotives from the Toporok River.

At the beginning of the last century, the station belonged to class V.

In place of the existing larch garden, a small church of St. Nicholas was built near the station. It all started with the fact that the head of the station, I. A. Kon, wrote out the icon of St. Nicholas for believers and ordered that it be installed in the station building. The road foreman A.K. Shashkevich built an icon case under the icon. Divine services began to take place in front of the icon. The construction of the church began at the end of 1905 at the expense of employees of the railway with the participation of the station manager. The church was one-story and painted with oil paint. Contemporaries noted that her building was built in the Gothic style. By the way, such were the many church churches erected in those years. On June 29, 1907, the church was consecrated in the name of St. Nicholas and assigned to the parish of the Innokenty Church of the village of Alzamay.

With the establishment of Soviet power, a train depot was built. For the production of sleepers in 1925, the Alzamaisk point of the Nizhneudinsky LTH was organized, in 1927 the chemical forestry (later ХЛХ) trust Vostsibkhimleszag.

In 1942, the Dnepropetrovsk switch plant was re-evacuated to Alzamay, which produced turnouts, which the railway needed for transporting goods to the front. Now it is a mechanical repair plant.
