History

A part of young writers, formerly members of the literary organizations Plow and Gart , entered Molodnyak.

The organization’s members united around the magazine Molodnyak of the same name, published in Kharkov in 1927-1934, and in Kiev in 1935-1937 (under the name Young Bolshevik since 1937).

He headed the literary organization P. Usenko, in 1927-1931 he was the editor of his printed publication .

Branches of "Molodnyak" were created in Stalin , Nikolaev, Zaporozhye , Dnepropetrovsk , Kremenchug and other cities of the Ukrainian SSR.

"Youngsters" declared himself "a fighting detachment of the literary proletarian front . " It was not without vulgarization of art: ideologically seasoned rhymed slogan was placed above the lyric poem; romance was declared alien and hostile to the proletariat. Articles by young critics were marked by orthodoxy, brutal reprisals against dissenters. These manifestations were opposed by the MARS association.

Together with VUSPP, it actively joined the search campaign for nationalist writers and contributed to the liquidation of existing independent literary associations, the creation of a single centralized writing organization completely controlled by the Bolshevik party.

Both the organization and the magazine have done a lot to enhance the literary work of young people and identify talents. At the same time, with its aggressive Bolshevik orthodoxy and rude attacks on dissenters, and opposing WAPLITE , the organization contributed to the demoralization of Ukrainian literature.

Molodnyak was liquidated in April 1932 in connection with the decree of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks "On the restructuring of literary and artistic organizations."

Most members of Molodnyak were later admitted to the Writers' Union of Ukraine.
