Biography
Konstantin Bogachevsky was born on June 17, 1884 in the village of Manaev in the family of a Greek Catholic priest .
He studied theology in Lviv , Innsbruck and Munich . On January 31, 1909, Konstantin Bogachevsky was ordained a priest, after which he served as spiritual father in the Lviv Greek Catholic Seminary. From 1916 to 1917 he was a military chaplain. Since 1918, Konstantin Bogachevsky was vice-rector of the Peremyshl Theological Seminary. In 1923 he taught the honorary title of the Apostolic Protonotary . For educational activities among Ukrainians he was arrested by the Polish authorities, after his release in 1923 he went to Rome.
On May 20, 1924, Pope Pius XI appointed Konstantin Bogachevsky the titular bishop of Amisus and the apostolic exarch for Ukrainians in the United States. On June 15, 1924, Konstantin Bogachevsky was ordained a bishop, which was performed by the bishop of Przemysl, Sambir and Sanok Iosafat Kotsilovsky , together with the Apostolic Administrator of Presov Dionis Nyaradi and Bishop of Lungro of the Italo-Albanian Catholic Church Giovanni Mele .
On April 5, 1954, Konstantin Bogachevsky was appointed titular archbishop of Beroe .
On July 10, 1958, the United States Apostolic Exarchate was transformed into the Philadelphia Diocese, and Konstantin Bogachevsky became its first archbishop.
Konstantin Bogachevsky died on January 6, 1961.
