Design
Turkish destroyers had a two-pipe silhouette and differed from the Italian prototype in the arrangement of the guns - in a linearly elevated pattern, as in the British and French destroyers. This required an extension of the hull, the width of which was reduced to ensure high speed qualities of the ships.
Corps
The narrower hull with high armament made the stability of Turkish ships even more mediocre than that of destroyers of the Folgor type.
Powerplant
The power plant consisted of two Parsons turbo-gear units and three Thornycroft steam boilers . In tests, destroyers reached speeds of up to 41 knots with a capacity of 52,000 liters. from.
Armament
The artillery armament consisted of four 120 mm / 50 guns (4 × 1) and three (3 × 1) 40 mm / 40 “ pom-pom ” machine guns, two of which were located on the forecastle and one on the platform between the torpedo tubes. The caliber of torpedoes - 533 mm was new for the ships of the Turkish fleet. Around 1942, two (2 × 1) 20 mm / 70 anti-aircraft guns were installed on the ships.
From 1947, before being excluded from the fleet, destroyers were used as training ships.
