The Bogatyr is one of the first steam locomotives to be delivered to Tsarskoye Selo Railway on October 21, 1836 [1] .

It was made in Belgium at the Kokkeril plant in Serena . It was the cheapest and most reliable steam locomotive worth 12,000 rubles in silver, worked on the road for more than 20 years and written off in 1860 .
November 3, 1838 the steam locomotive was given the name "Athlete" [2] .
In 1849 the engine was renamed and received the name "Russia" .
