(2208) Pushkin is the asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 22, 1977 by the Soviet astronomer N. S. Chernykh at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory and on March 1, 1981 [1] was named in honor of the great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin .
