Geographical position

The village of Verkhnyaya Alapaikha of the municipality “ Municipality of the city of Alapaevsk ” of the Sverdlovsk Region is located 9 kilometers (10 km by road) west of the administrative center - the city of Alapaevsk , on the left bank of the Alapaikha River (left tributary of the Neiva River), below the left tributary of the Putishna River . In the vicinity of the village, 1 kilometer to the north is the “113 km” railway junction of the Sverdlovsk railway of the Nizhny Tagil - Kamensk-Uralsky direction [2] . It is part of the Western Village Council [3] .

Holy Cross Exaltation Church

By 1900, there was a chapel in the village in honor of the Ascension of the Lord [4] . And in 1913, a wooden, single-throne church was consecrated in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The temple was closed in the 1930s [2] .

School

In 1896, a mixed school of literacy was founded in the village, which was located in its own building [4] .
