Content
Geographical position
The village is located 42 km east of Solvychegodsk , on the right bank of Vychegda . Kharitonovo can be reached from Koryazhma or Kotlas via the Vychegda River. Usually in winter and summer they put pontoons. In the village originates the Nyuba narrow gauge railway (as of 2006 - operating) [2] .
History
The composition of the working village territorially included the Kharitonov village (according to one version, founded by the Moscow merchants Kharitonov), the village of Splavnaya, the villages of Tesovitsy, Cheremushki. From 1938 to 1958, the village of Kharitonovo was part of the Novikovsky village council of Solvychegodsky district of the Arkhangelsk region [3] . From 1963 to 2005, the village of Kharitonovo had the status of an urban-type settlement , after - the center of the Kharitonovsky village council (rural administration), from 2006 - as part of the Solvychegodskoye municipality .

Economics
In the village are located Kharitonovo-KTsBK LLC (a structural unit of the Ilim Group branch in Koryazhma), a number of private sawmills, trading enterprises, an airfield (inactive).
