In the XIX century, the village of Maryino was part of the Desenskaya volost of the volost of Podolsky district . In 1899, 153 people lived in the village [1] .
According to the All-Russian Census , in 2002, 2246 people lived in the village (1042 men and 1204 women) [2] . According to 2005 data, 2261 people lived in the village [3] .

The village of Maryino is located about 5 km south of the center of Moscow . The nearest settlements are the village of Maryino and the village of Staroselye . Near the village flows the river Dunno .
