Biography

Born in 1890 in the Netherlands in an intelligent family. By specialty artist and engraver.

He participated in the Dutch socialist movement, entered into his left wing, worked closely with David Weinkopf . On his instructions, during the First World War, he came to Germany several times to establish contacts with local internationalists .

After the founding of the Communist Party of the Netherlands, it became a member, in 1920, together with Weinkopf, represented the CPN at the Second Congress of the Comintern ; On August 7, 1920, after the end of the congress, Weinkopf and Jansen became members of the ECCI. He was a member of the American Agency in Mexico. In June-July 1921 he represented the CPN at the Third Congress of the Comintern , in June 1923 - at the Third Extended Plenum of the ECCI, at which he participated in the work of the Australian and Danish commissions.

In 1926, after the group, which included Weinkopf and van Ravestein (who soon created the Communist Party of Holland - the Central Committee ), was expelled from the CPN, he left the party.

In 1943, was shot by the German occupation forces .
