Hornet is a third-generation Belarusian-Ukrainian anti - tank missile system (ATGM). Designed to destroy armored vehicles, protected objects (such as a bunker, bunker , bunker ) and low-flying low-speed targets (helicopters, UAVs ). Being a logical development of the Skif anti-tank complex, the Hornet surpasses it in a number of parameters, and also implements engineering solutions that are unique among competitors. Adopted by the Army of the Republic of Belarus . Offered for export.

Description
The basic modification of the Hornet ATGM consists of a universal combat module mounted on a tripod, a transport and launch container with a missile, a PN-S guidance device and a remote control that allows you to control fire from a distance of up to 100 m (with a wired communication channel) and up to 300 m (with a radio channel). The task of the combat crew, consisting of two people, is to deploy the complex from its traveling position (installing ATGMs , connecting the PN-S, turning on the installation and the control panel), finding the target and the combat launch. The deployment time of the complex does not exceed two minutes. After start-up, the task of the operator is reduced to monitoring the operation of the complex and, if necessary, correcting the aiming point using the manipulator on the control panel.
The use of a 130 mm caliber or more powerful B-2M 152 mm caliber RK-2 missile system as a part of the complex allows guaranteed to hit all modern armored targets, regardless of the point of impact (projection), and with an elongated R-2V missile, unified with Barrier-ATGM B ” (as part of“ Hornet-Q ”), increase the maximum firing range to 7500 m, which significantly increases the chances of successfully combating surface targets during anti-landing / anti-terrorist operations. Thus, the possibility of using different types of missiles without modifying the complex, together with a wide range of targets, makes it possible to consider the Hornet not only as an ATGM, but as a defensive assault weapon to support infantry in the defense / offensive zone to the battalion level.
Advantages of the complex
- High probability of hitting targets and firing accuracy at all range of the complex, thanks to the use of noise - free laser guidance system with high-energy potential of the optoelectronic channel of the rocket.
- The possibility of hitting targets with low thermal contrast due to the use of guided missiles, such as bunkers , bunkers , a firing point in a multi-story building.
- Aiming the missile at the target from closed positions and from cover, which significantly reduces the risk of the operator hitting the enemy with a retaliatory fire strike and significantly removes the psychophysical effect on him. The remote control panel is carried out at a distance of up to 100 m from the launcher when using a wired communication channel and up to 300 m with wireless control.
- The ability to fire in the "with excess" mode is the main mode at a range of more than 1500 m from the target. In this mode, the control radiation from the guidance device is directed above the target, which excludes the possibility of detecting an attack until the last moment - the rocket reaches the line of sight. Entering the line of sight occurs less than a second before the defeat.
- The PN-S complex guidance device can be used as an autonomous reconnaissance and target designation tool (range measurement up to 9 km with an accuracy of 5 m is provided), as well as for controlling anti-tank missiles induced by the laser beam and fired not only from the launch container, but from an artillery gun or a tank gun.
- The ability to control the missile after launch, including retargeting it to a more important or dangerous target.
- The ability to use as part of universal combat modules with 1, 2 or 4 fire channels, mounted on various wheeled and tracked chassis, river, sea vessels, unified among themselves with a rocket, guidance device and remote control without additional refinement of the latter.
- Using a modern energy-saving power system that provides at least five hours of continuous autonomous functioning.
- The presence of the "automatic tracking" mode, which actually makes it possible to implement the principle of " shot - forgot ."
- Ability to control from one control panel multiple launchers and / or combat modules (up to four units in total).
- Light weight, ease of use, low operator training time (there is a computer simulator).
- The possibility of the action of the complex (several complexes) as part of a single control system with automation of the reconnaissance, target designation and target allocation process.
- Competitive cost of the complex.
