A list of volumes and chapters of the Hellsing Seinen manga, written and illustrated by Kota Hirano . The manga was first published in Young King OURs in 1997 and published over 11 years, the last chapter was published in the November 2008 issue [1] . Separate chapters are collected in tankobons and published by Shonen Gahosha in Japan , in March 2009 all chapters of the manga were published in 10 volumes. In 2001, Hirano began publishing the prequel, Hellsing: The Dawn, in special publications of Young King OURs, a total of 6 chapters were published, and the release was suspended. The names of all chapters of the manga correspond to the names of computer games [2] : Balance of Power , Ultima , Wizardry , Might and Magic and others [3] . The first three volumes included one chapter from the Crossfire manga (Crossfire), which tells of Yumiko and Heinkel, the fighting nuns of Iskariot. Heroes from it appear in the main manga. According to Hirano, they were added to the Hellsing tankos because they needed to fill out the remaining pages [4] .
The manga was licensed by Dark Horse Comics for publication in North America, which was scheduled to begin in December 2003 [5] . In total, the company published 10 volumes in English, the first of which was published on December 3, 2003, and the last - on May 19, 2010 [6] [7] . In Singapore, a 10-volume English manga was published by Chuang Yi from 2007 to 2009 [8] . In Australia and New Zealand, Madman Entertainment was involved in the distribution of manga [9] . The manga was also licensed in France by the publishing house Editions Tonkam [10] , in Italy ( Dynit and JPOP ) [11] [12] , in Germany ( Panini Comics ) [13] , in Poland ( Japonica Polonica Fantastica ) [14] , in Hungary ( Mangafan ) [15] , in Denmark and Sweden ( Mangismo ) [16] . In April 2010, Comics Art announced the acquisition of a license for the Russian edition of the Hellsing manga series [17] , and the first volume [18] was released on June 27, 2011 . After the release of the third volume, manga was suspended.
The original manga gained wide popularity among the readership [19] and often appeared on the lists of the best-selling graphic art works both in Japan and abroad [20] [21] [22] [23] . Critics called it the best manga in its genre [3] [24] , at the same time widely discussing cruelty, bloodthirst and violence depicted in the manga; it was noted that their level goes beyond the reasonable [3] [25] [26] [27] [28] . In 2006, the Hellsing manga was nominated for the Quill Award in the comics category [29] [30] .
