Filimonki is a settlement in the Novomoskovsk administrative district of Moscow (until July 1, 2012, it was part of the Leninsky district of the Moscow region ). Part of the settlement Filimonkovskoe .

History

 
The ruins of the main house of the estate

Mentioned in the documents of the first quarter of the XVII century as the village " Filimonovo, Filimontsevo identity ." Since the end of the XIX century is listed in the documents as Filimonki . The name supposedly comes from the calendar personal name Philemon [1] .

In the 18th century, a manor appeared in the village of Filimonki. At the beginning of the XIX century, the estate belonged to D. V. Izmailov, who was engaged in its reconstruction. In the middle of the XIX century, the manor belonged to the princes Svyatopolk-Chetvertinsky , with them in 1855-1888 the Trinity Church was built in the village [2] . In 1891, at the expense of V. B. Svyatopolk-Chetvertinskaya, the Prince-Vladimir Convent was founded [3] . In 1900-1904 the Assumption Church was built at the monastery [4] .

In the 19th century, the village of Filimonki was part of the Desensk parish of the Podolsk district . In 1899, 27 people lived in the village [5] .

In the 1920s, the monastery was closed, its buildings were used by the psycho-neurological boarding school.

Population

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2002, 2,169 people lived in the village (1,016 men and 1,153 women) [6] . According to data for 2005, 1329 people lived in the village [7] .

Location

The village of Filimonki is located on the Lykov River about 5 km south of the center of Moscow . The nearest populated areas are Pushkino village and the Radio Center settlement .

Attractions

  • Manor Filimonki XIX century. Is in disrepair. The main house burned down in 2006 [8] . Preserved outbuilding and park. The estate has the status of a monument of architecture of federal significance [9] .
  • The Trinity Church of original architecture was built in the years 1855-1888 (architect J. F. Thibault ). It consists of a cruciform temple and a high bell tower. The church is partially destroyed. From the mid-1990s, the building was handed over to the Orthodox Church, and restoration work is underway [10] .
  • The Assumption Church , built in the 1900s in the pseudo-Russian style . It consists of a temple and a refectory with two side-altars [10] .
  • Prince Vladimir Convent (now does not work).
