Biography
In the first half of the 18th century, with the support of Peter I , the Russian Empire began an active expansion of chemical practice (primarily aimed at strengthening the military power of the state), including the leather industry , in which foreign experience was widely attracted. In order to improve leather dressing, a number of foreign leather masters were invited to Russia, one of which was Kozma Belyustin, who was among them who left the most notable contribution [1] . In 1736, the state (state) tannery in Moscow was transferred under his control, where Belustin organized the production of finished leather according to the Saxon method [3] . Belyustin, who became a Moscow manufacturer [3] , was one of the innovators of the Russian leather industry [2] .
