Biography
Her father was a native of the peasants, all his life he worked as an employee (died in 1911). Mother - housewife (died in 1937).
In 1909 she entered the drama courses at the Moscow Philharmonic and graduated in 1912. Then, for many years worked in provincial theaters: Pushkin summer theater, Sevastopol national drama theater, drama theater Mariupol, Berdyansk Drama Theater, Lower Chirskaya Drama Theater, Drama Theater summer the town of Feodosia, Kerch Drama Theater, Nut-Zuevskaya Drama Theater, the Drama Theater of the Department of Public Education.
Since 1925, Elena Anufrieva began working in the cinema. Under the City Committee, the cinema listened to a series of lectures on the history and technique of cinema, and was engaged in rhythm and mimicry at production workshops. From 1931 to 1932 and from 1940 to 1941 she was a full-time artist of the “ Mosfilm ” film studio.
During the war years she was evacuated in Almaty . Upon returning in 1944, she again joined the staff of the Mosfilm studio, and from 1945, became the theater actor’s studio where she worked until she retired in 1952.
She starred in movies mainly in small roles and episodes, playing village women, women workers, mothers.
