Content
Geography
The Justinsky SMO is located in the central part of the Justinsky District of Kalmykia and borders on the Khosheutovsky SMO of the Oktyabrsky District of Kalmykia and the Barunsky SMO of the Justinsky District in the northwest, in the north with the Tatalsky SMO , in the east with the Harbinsky SMO , in the south with the Erdnievsky SMO of the Justinsky District of Kalmykia in the west - with the Sarpinsky SMO of the Ketchenerovsky district of Kalmykia.
In the relief, the territory of the Yustinsky NSR is expressed by a gently sloping plain on the marine upper Khvalyn deposits with ridged relief sections and massifs of twisted sands . The relief is flat, represented by the Caspian lowland .
Hydrography
There are no hydrological objects on the territory of the Yustinsky MSS, however, there are a number of artesian basins scattered throughout the entire municipality, as well as lenses of fresh and brackish waters.
Climate
The climate of the zone is sharply continental, dry. The amount of precipitation on average is 200-300 mm per year, in the warm period 130-165 mm. The land is subject to wind erosion, sand covers an area of more than 27,000 hectares, which is more than 14% of the total area of the municipality. The number of days with droughts and dry winds can reach 119 days. In summer, average temperatures are + 23 + 25 degrees Celsius, sometimes 39-40 and above. In winter, the air temperature reaches an average of −15-18 degrees. In winter, the weather is extremely volatile.
Soil
In the north-west of the municipality, light chestnut alkaline and meadow semi-desert soils are widespread. Brown semi-desert soils, as well as undeveloped sandy soils, have spread throughout the rest of the Yustinsky QS. Salt marshes are found everywhere on the territory of the municipality.

As of January 1, 2012, the population of the Justinsky QS was 854 people. Most of the population (618 people) live in the village of Justa . In the Justin QS, natural population growth is noted.
National composition
Representatives of 6 peoples live in the municipality. The ethnic structure is dominated by two peoples - Kalmyks (49%) and Kazakhs (43%).

Economics
Agriculture is the basic branch of specialization of the Justin SMO. The leading sectors of specialization in agricultural production are animal husbandry and crop production . The total area of agricultural land is 150,484 ha. Of these, 149,000 ha are pastures . On the territory of the Yustinsky SMO, an agricultural production cooperative (SEC) - “Yusta”, as well as 29 peasant farms (peasant farms) and 180 personal subsidiary farms (LPH) operate.
Transport Infrastructure
The territory of the QS is crossed by the highway of republican significance Tsagan-Aman - Utta .
