Geography
The village is located on the Polish-Slovak border 5 km from Sienkowa , 13 km from Gorlice and 112 km from Krakow .
History
The first mention of the village dates back to 1581. The village was the property of the Bech royal elder. The village of Bodaki, along with the neighboring village of Bartne, was the center of stone production. Sandstone was mined on the slopes of Mount Kornuta and was used as a building material.
In 1910, a school was founded in one of the houses of the village. From 1975 to 1998, the village was part of the now non-existent Novosond Voivodeship.
Population
The population is 156 people. Until 1947, the majority of the population of the village were Lemki [1] . After the Second World War, some Lemcs moved to Ukraine in the vicinity of Lviv and Ternopol , and the other part during Operation Vistula was relocated to western Poland.
