Batanghari ( indon. Batanghari ) is a district within the province of Jambi . The administrative center is the city of Moire-Boulian .

Geography
The area of the district is 5180.35 km². In the north it borders with the West Tanjung-Jabung district , in the east - with the Muaro-Jambi district, in the west - with the Tebo district, in the south - with the Sarolangun district, as well as with the territory of the province of South Sumatra .
Population
According to the 2010 census , 241,334 people lived in the okrug [2] .
