Abintestato

Abintestato or ab-intestestato ( lat. Ab intestato ) - the term of Roman law , also found in Western European legislation and writings on civil law; means inheritance after not having left a will .

The French adopted the term in their language, discarding the last vowel: Fr. ab intestat .

In Russian law this term was not used, and “ inheritance by law ” corresponded to it; so, in particular, I. Belyaev called it in the 19th century. K. Cavelin called it “legal inheritance” [1] .
