Biography
He is the heir to the estate of the Kuvan clan in the seventh generation. He grew up in a house of 700 square meters, has a sister Haruka. In 1957 he was sent to kindergarten , in 1960 - to Sumiyoshi Elementary School in Osaka . In 1967 he moved to high school. In 1970, thanks to his involvement in the Expo-70 exhibition in Osaka, he left for San Francisco .
After returning to his homeland in 1971, he created his own musical group - フ ァ ニ ー ・ カ ン パ ニ ー (Funny Company). He made his debut in 1972, releasing two albums in 1973 and 1974, after the release of the second album, the group was disbanded. His solo career began in 1975, and a year later RCA released his first solo album “Who Are You?”. And in 1979, his single “セ ク シ ャ ル バ イ オ レ ッ ト No.1” (“Sexual Violet No.1”) took first place in Japanese charts.
In September 1977, he was sentenced to three years probation for using cannabis and cocaine . [one]
On March 5, 1980, he married Anne Lewis, a popular Japanese singer of American descent. [2] On September 29, 1981, was detained on suspicion of indecent assault against a 19-year-old fan, but the case was settled with the injured party in pre-trial procedure. [3] On December 25 of that year, he was again accused of using cannabis. [4] In 1984, a divorce followed from Anne Lewis. Has a son - Muiji. [5]
In 1990 , after the death of his father, he took over the management of the family business. He was engaged in charity, supporting children in need and helping those wishing to take poor dogs, he himself kept a large number of dogs on his estate.
From 1986 to 2002, he starred in films starring.
In 2006, retired. In the early morning of July 15, 2012, Masahiro suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was taken unconscious to Osaka Hospital. [6] Was on artificial feeding, died on October 26, 2012. [7] On October 30, a funeral was held in Osaka, in which more than 5 thousand people took part.
