In March 2013, runner-up Jose Mourinho accused FIFA of voting violations for the best coach of the year. The Portuguese stated that some of the voters informed him that their votes for Mourinho were ultimately attributed to del Bosque [2] [3] . Mourinho was not present at the award ceremony precisely because he received information from several people about violations in the counting of votes, despite the fact that the voting results were published after the ceremony. FIFA issued a press release, which rejected the allegations and confirmed the correctness of the published voting results [4] . Napoli footballer Goran Pandev of Macedonia confirmed the words of Mourinho, saying that in the published results his vote for Mourinho was attributed to del Bosque, about which he informed the Portuguese in a telephone conversation [5] .

2012 FIFA Symbolic Team

At the ceremony, the symbolic FIFA team was named at the end of 2012. Of the 11 people, five Real Madrid and Barcelona players, as well as Radamel Falcao from Madrid Atletico, were included in the team. All players of the national team represented the championship of Spain [1] .
