Ichthyostomatogasteridae (lat.) - a family of ticks from the order Mesostigmata ( Sejoidea ). 3 genera, about 10 species [2] . They have strong oral organs, which are used to crush and swallow solid foods, such as mushrooms and other mites. Most often found in tree hollows and rotting wood, or in nests of mammals and cave bats [3] [4] . Representatives of this family were previously considered as part of Sejidae [5] .
