About the album
The Bridge was recorded between 1994-1995; the first song written for the album was “Beautiful Life” [6] . Unlike working on The Sign , Berggren and Ekberg worked separately, each with its own production team; Jonas recorded in Stockholm , Ulf - in Gothenburg [7] . The words of the songs and music were written by all members of the collective (this is the only Ace of Base album, in the creation of which all members of the group participated).
Mikkel Bagger (in an interview with Music & Media): “From the point of view of production , [The Bridge] is much better than its predecessor. The sound is fresh and quite poppy; can say they have matured. On the first album we had a lot of techno dance and reggae pop songs that became big hits; there are many directions on this album, because all four members write (...) They are all the same four people from a small Swedish town. They still love to be in their city, hanging out with their old friends and doing everything they did before - and this, I think, is very cool ” [8] .
The album was produced by Dennis Pop , Max Martin , Jonas Berggren and Ulf Ekberg .
