The foundation for the lighthouse on Landi was laid in 1787 , but the first lighthouse (now known as the Old World) was built only when Trinity House received land in a 999-year lease in 1819. The 29-meter granite tower was designed by Daniel Asher Alexander, and built by Joseph Nelson [1] . Due to complaints that the light of the lighthouse is often blocked by fogs, the North and South Landin lighthouses were built, and the old lighthouse was abandoned in 1897 [2] [3] . The Old World and the keeper’s house are kept open [4] .
Currently, the North and South Landin lighthouses have replaced the old lighthouse. New lighthouses are painted white, their work is supported by Trinity House [5] . The north tower is 17 meters high, which is slightly higher than the south tower, whose height is 16 meters. It produces a fast white flash every 5 seconds. [4] In 1985, the north lighthouse was modernized. The south lighthouse produces a fast white flash every 15 seconds [4] . It was automated in 1994.
