Biography
In 1931-1932 he was the governor of the Pochaev Assumption Lavra [3] , which was at that time in the jurisdiction of the Polish Orthodox Church .
In 1941, it became part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Autonomous Church , which recognized itself as part of the Moscow Patriarchate .
August 18 (31), 1942 [4] was consecrated bishop of Krasnodar . The consecration was headed by Metropolitan Alexy (Gromadsky) , the head of the Ukrainian Autonomous Orthodox Church [5] .
Arrived in Krasnodar and took over the management of the department , where, in addition to it, there was an update diocese led by Vladimir Ivanov . Return to the Pochaev Lavra took place before the liberation of Krasnodar by the Red Army [5] .
On June 6-7, 1943, in Kovel , already a vicar of the Volyn diocese , he participated in the Council of Bishops of the Ukrainian Autonomous Church, who served on the territory of the Volyn-Podillia general district . The Cathedral elected Bishop Damaskin (Malyuta) as the successor to the murdered Alexy (Gromadsky) [6] .
When Ukraine was liberated from German occupation, he was left alone in the Pochaev Lavra [7] .
He died on January 22, 1948 in the Pochaev Lavra.
