Louisiana
The southern end of highway I-59 is located at the intersection of I-10 and I-12 in the southeastern part of Louisiana. Only 18 km pass through the territory of this state of I-59, after crossing the Pearl River, reaching the territory of the Pearl River County in Mississippi.
Mississippi
Throughout the 276-kilometer Mississippi route, Interstate 59 is connected to US 11 or departs several kilometers from it. In the city of Hattiesburg, I-59 is connected to US 98 , in Laurel to US 84 , and in the vicinity of Meridian, to US 11 and US 80 . In Meridian, Interstate 59 is connected to Interstate 20 , two highways diverge already in Alabama, after 233 km.
Alabama
For nearly 40 percent of the route in Alabama, I-59 and I-20 are connected. In Birmingham , central I-20 and I-59 cross I-65 . After a few kilometers, I-20 moves east towards Atlanta , and I-59 continues to move northeast. In Etova County, I-759 auxiliary highway departs from I-59, heading to the administrative center of Gadsden County .
Georgia
There are only three congresses in Georgia with Interstate 59. The north end of I-59 is located at the intersection with I-24 in the Wildwood area, a few miles from the border with Tennessee .
