Story
In the kennel of Little Santa Helper, a badger settled. Neither Bart nor Homer could get rid of him. Homer decided to call the animal control service and discovers that Springfield has two phone codes. Moreover, a new code appeared among residents of a poor part of the city, while the old habitual code remained with residents of a rich area. The city is divided into two camps and arranges a discussion about this at the city hall. There they try to calm them, but in vain. And then Homer proposes to divide the city into two parts: the “Old Springfield” with wealthy residents and the “New Springfield” - under the control of Homer and his friends.
In this situation, residents of Old Springfield win: after all, there are shops, schools and hospitals on their territory. Yes, and the mayor from Homer doesn’t - having failed to equip New Springfield well, he decides to take revenge: he makes his way to the nuclear power plant and turns off the light for Old Springfield; in retaliation, they intercept beer trucks and pour their contents into the river. Then Homer associates decide to block the enemy’s river, but at the bottom of the devastated river, the old Springfidans discover gold and become even richer. The finally enraged Homer decides to build a wall, forever dividing his rivals. The New Springfield people are happy, but when they learn how Homer will manage their city, they immediately move to Old Springfield, leaving the Simpsons family as the only inhabitants of New Springfield.
Here Homer recalls a concert by The Who. It should be held in Old Springfield, but Homer and Bart managed to persuade the group to perform in New Springfield, making their way to the hotel. Residents of Old Springfield are waiting for “The Who” at the stadium, but they are not. Upon learning that the group is performing at Homer, furious fans resort to the wall. Homer does not want to let them go to the concert, but the catapult with ignited charges makes Homer change his mind. “The Who” twists their amplifiers to their full capacity, the rock collapses by force of rock and the townspeople of the newly united city dance to rock music, and Homer resigns as mayor of New Springfield.
