History

For the first time it is mentioned in the Scribal Book of Vodskaya Pyatina in the year 1500, as the village of Seltso on Tigoda in the Ilinsky Tigodsky churchyard of the Novgorod district [2] .

In the census of 1710 in the Ilinsky Tigodsky Pogost, the village Seltso was mentioned, which was listed by landowner Nikifor Petrov [3] .

From 1917 to 1927, the village of Seltso was part of the Lyubanskaya volost of the Novgorod district of the Novgorod province.

Since 1927, as part of the Khochenskoye Village Council of the Lyuban District of the Leningrad Region.

The village was the administrative center of the Seltsovskiy village council, which included 11 settlements: the villages of Bolshaya Transitional, Zavolzhie, Kirkovo, Korkino, Maloye Transitional, Russian Volga, Seltso , Sust'e Konets, Yamok; The village of Krasnaya Dacha and the village of Maizit, with a total population of 3,197 people [11] .

The settlement is located in the south-eastern part of the district, south-west of the city of Lyuban , between the 41K-845 ( Lyuban - Korkino ) and 41A-004 ( Pavlovo - Mga - Luga ) highways.

The distance to the nearest railway station Lyuban is 2.4 km [8] .
