Vectorman 2 ( Russian Vectorman 2 ) is a platformer video game developed by BlueSky Software and published by Sega exclusively for the Sega Genesis game console on November 15, 1996 in the USA only. May 2, 2012 Vectorman 2 was released on personal computers running Windows in the digital distribution service Steam . Vectorman 2 also joined the Sonic Gems Collection in 2005 for the GameCube and PlayStation 2 , and the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection in 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 . Since 2010, the game is available in the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics collection for Linux , macOS , Windows platforms , from 2018 - the PlayStation 4 , Xbox One [3] and Nintendo Switch [4] .

The game is a sequel to Vectorman .
Gameplay
Vectorman 2 is a game in the genre of platformer, made in two-dimensional graphics . In the story after the battle with the leader of the robots "Warhead", Vectorman returned to Earth. His spaceship was shot down, but the hero managed to escape. Once on Earth, he discovered that the planet was captured by giant insects. Now Vectorman needs to clear the Earth from the invaders and get to their “queen”.
The game consists of several levels in which there are a variety of enemies and obstacles. In gameplay, the game is similar to the previous part: Vectorman moves through the levels and destroys enemies. However, there are some minor differences (for example, new types of weapons appear, and “TVs” with useful items are replaced with cocoons).

Vectorman 2 , like its predecessor, received positive reviews from journalists. On GameRankings, the average rating is 84.17% [5] , and on MobyGames - 77 points out of 100 possible [6] .
The TV show Electric Playground rated the version for Sega Genesis at 9 points out of 10 [5] . Among the advantages of the game were highlighted good graphics and sound. At the same time, however, comparing the game with the previous part, reviewers noted that the latter has a number of advantages in the game process and level design.
