Katherine Mary Heigl [4] ( born Katherine Marie Heigl ; born November 24, 1978 , Washington , DC , USA ) is an American actress, producer and former model. Best known for her role as Izzy Stevens in the television series Anatomy of Passion (2005–2010). Heigl also starred in The Slightly Pregnant (2007), 27 Weddings (2008), The Naked Truth (2009), Killers (2010), Life As It Is (2010) and “ Old "New Year " (2011).

Early life

Katherine Mary Heigl was born in Washington, DC [5] . The actress's father, Paul Heigl, is financial director, and his mother, Nancy Heigl, is the personnel manager. She has a sister whom her parents adopted several years before her birth. She has German paternal and Irish maternal roots [6] , and was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints [7] [8] [9] . Career

Career start: 1986-1998
