Biography
Born in 1914 at the Shental station of the Bugulma district of the Samara province (now the Shentalinsky district , Samara region ) in a peasant family [1] . Mordvin .
Secondary education. In the Red Army since 1939 . At the front in World War II - from December 1942 . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943 .
The gun commander of the 353rd artillery regiment, sergeant Grigory Guryanov distinguished himself in battles on April 19 - 20, 1944 near the village of Zhivachov ( Tlumachsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region). Reflecting the counterattack of enemy tanks and infantry, the calculation of his guns destroyed 3 tanks and many Nazis. When the gunner was killed in battle, the panorama was broken, and the gun’s shield was torn down, Guryanov began to aim the gun through the barrel channel and destroyed 2 more tanks.
After the war, the foreman Guryanov was demobilized. He worked as an instructor for the fire brigade in Kuibyshev .
He died on July 23, 1963 .
Rewards
- The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on September 23, 1944 .
