Geography

It is located on the state road Nizhny Novgorod - Ulyanovsk , 98 km from Cheboksary . Krasnochetaysky district was founded in 1927. Its area is 691.6 square square kilometers, the population is 22.8 thousand people. The regional center is the village of Krasnye Chetai. 3061 people live in the village. In the region of 70 settlements, 11 rural administrations. Agricultural land in the Krasnochetaysky district - 38.3 thousand ha, of which arable land - 22.8 thousand ha. On the territory of the district there are 25 agricultural, 13 industrial and small enterprises, a regional consumer society, 11 peasant (farmer) enterprises, 8 retail enterprises, 12 communication departments, 12 automatic telephone exchanges. There are 19 comprehensive schools, 44 club institutions. Most of the residential buildings and institutions of the district center are heated by natural gas from the central boiler house, sewer, water supply are working. In the district, 579 houses are gasified, at the stage of completion and commissioning of 100 points. Transportation services for the population within the region are carried out by subsidiaries - the Shumerlinskoye and Yadrinskoye production motor transport associations GUP "State Association" Chuvashavtotrans ", the Cheboksary industrial association of passenger vehicles on 7 bus routes. The total length of paved roads in the region is 145.7 km.

Economics

The leading enterprises in the village are AOO “Production Combine”, construction company “Krasnochetaysky Gas”, collective construction organization “Krasnochetayskaya”, a branch of Novocheboksarsk Construction Trust No. 4, a bakery, producer of soft drinks “Yantar” and others. Repair of agricultural machinery, processing of agricultural products obtained in the area. The village has opened branches of banks Sberbank of Russia and Russian Agricultural Bank .

Culture

In the village there is a secondary school, gymnasium, music school , 2 kindergartens, the House of Culture , a library , a museum of local lore. A regional newspaper in Chuvash, Pirn Purnӑҫ (Our Life), is being published.

Attractions

In the village is located the Church of the Ascension. There is a Memorial on Victory Square: a monument to the soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War, monuments to the Heroes of the Soviet Union I. Indryakov and Loginov A.R., T-55 tank, cannon and Katyusha are installed on pedestals [8] .
