Pavel Dmitrievich Malkov ( November 17, 1887, Kukark settlement, now the city of Sovetsk, Kirov region - November 22, 1965, Moscow ) is a Soviet military leader who held the commandant of the Smolny and the commandant of the Kremlin during the October Revolution and Civil War.

Biography
Revolutionary Activities
Bolshevik since 1904. Member of the revolution of 1905-1907 . Arrested and sent to the settlement. Since 1911 he served in the Baltic Fleet as a senior orderly on the cruiser " Diana ", was a member of the underground organization of the RSDLP. After the February Revolution of 1917, he was a member of the Helsingfors Committee of the RSDLP, a member of the Central Baltic . Commandant of Smolny and the Kremlin
From October 29 ( November 11 ) 1917 - the first commandant of Smolny. In connection with the relocation of the Soviet government to Moscow from March 1918 to April 1920, he was the commandant of the Moscow Kremlin. Personally shot by Fanny Kaplan .

Arrest and rehabilitation
According to the Memorial, he was arrested on January 21, 1948 in Moscow, and the CCA at the Ministry of State Security of the USSR on December 25, 1948 was sentenced under Art. 58-10, 58-11 as a "Trotskyist" to 8 years of ITL. After the death of Stalin, he was released on October 28, 1954 and rehabilitated.
Since 1954 - a personal pensioner of national importance. He was awarded the Order of Lenin (1957). He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery .
