Eero Aarnio ( Fin. Eero Aarnio ; July 21, 1932 , Helsinki , Finland ) - a famous Finnish designer, became famous in the 1960s for the design of furniture made of plastic and fiberglass.

Biography
He graduated from the Institute of Applied Arts in Helsinki in 1957. In 1962 he opened his own design bureau. Since the early 1960s, he experimented with materials, one of the first to produce furniture made of plastic and a combination of plastic with glass or metal. The most famous works are: a plastic ball chair on a thin leg [1] , a suspended bubble chair and a Pastilii chair.
In 2010, he was awarded the Pro Finlandia Medal, Finland ’s highest state award for artists.
