History
Donskoye is an ancient settlement. He is over 370 years old. The emergence of the village was associated with the construction of a defensive line and the construction of the Tambov fortress in the first half of the 17th century. In the past, two names were assigned to the village: Pyashkilskaya Sloboda and Donskaya Sloboda . The first name came from the Päškil Creek, which flows through the village and flows into the Tsnu River. The name Don settlement means that the first settlers were Don Cossacks, who were on guard duty.
In the 70s of the 17th century, there were 92 courtyards in the settlement (approximately 400 inhabitants), of which 72 courtyards were Cossacks, 9 courtyards were soldiers. The suburban location and the presence of the Tambov- Morshansk tract, which passed through the village, contributed to the development of the carriage [2] . In 1670, ataman Nikifor Chertok visited the Donskoy with the Tsars who defeated the tsar’s troops in the village of Bokino. On August 20, 1919, the villagers joyfully greeted the Cossacks General Konstantin Konstantinovich Mamantov who remained at the post after the defeat of the Bolsheviks in Tambov, the villagers escorted the Cossacks to from Selezny where the Cossacks blew up the artillery depots of the Red Army.
