Career

He began his career at the Tercera amateur club Oberena, then joined Osasuna. After spending the first month on loan at Irunier, he made his debut in La Liga on January 10, 1960 in a match against Real Oviedo.

In the summer of 1962 he moved to Real Madrid. In his first season, Soko played in just 13 games. In the season 1965-1966 he won the European Cup .

In addition to these two awards, Soko won six more national championships and two Copa del Rey. He ended his career in June 1974 at the age of 35. 20 years later, he was appointed a delegate to the club’s matches [1] and retained this position until 1998.

He played 25 matches for the Spanish national team. He made his debut on April 19, 1961 in a match against Wales. He was called to the European Championship in 1964 and helped the national team win the tournament. Also played at the World Championships in England in 1966. For the national team scored only one goal. This happened on December 1, 1963 in a match against Belgium.
