The flag was approved on September 18, 2012 by the decision of the Council of Vimovsky Rural Settlement No. 2 [1] and is subject to entry in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation .
Description
"A rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the Vimovsky rural settlement of the Ust-Labinsky district in green, yellow and white."
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ In the green field between the golden edges at the top, there is a silver arch without a threshold, with a flag of the same metal on the roof and with side walls that do not reach the edges, and on the sides there is an arch, and each of the walls is crowned with silver bezants of which there are only six; below - a golden sesame stalk with two silver flowers between two golden gears ” [2] .
Justification of Symbols
The flag in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical, cultural and economic features of the rural settlement.
In the 30s of the XX century, on the lands that are currently part of the Vimovsky rural settlement, the All-Union Institute of Mechanization with its center in Krasnodar, abbreviated as VIM, conducted its experiments. The workers serving these experiments were called in the village of Ladoga not more than the “VIMovskys”. Over time, the place where the specialists of this institute resided turned into the village of Vimovets , which is currently the administrative center of the settlement.
The main attraction and decoration of the settlement is the “Triumphal Arch”, built in the 70s of the XX century in honor of the labor achievements of the main economy of the settlement.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of wisdom, perfection, purity.
In the virgin land near the village of Ladoga, in the 30s of the XX century, it was decided to establish a state farm, which has since become “Ladoga”. The task of the state farm was specific: to grow crops as raw materials for the manufacture of technical oils for machine tools, tractors, aircraft. The raw materials were peanuts , sunflowers , sesame seeds . One of the main cultures is sesame and is reflected on the flag.
Sesame is a symbol of longevity, health, youth and fortitude.
The green color of the banner symbolizes life, health, hope, joy, fertility, abundance, rebirth, and also allegorically indicates crop production, which is the basis of the economic development of the settlement.
Yellow color allegorically indicate the breadfields of the settlement.
The image of gears allegorically indicates the purpose of the products manufactured in the leading economy of the settlement.
Yellow color ( gold ) symbolizes greatness, wealth and prosperity, strength, as well as enlightenment and wisdom.
