Gor or Gori ( Arm. Հոռի [Hori]) - the second month of the ancient Armenian calendar . Gore had 30 days, starting on September 10 and ending on October 9 . According to Hovhannes Tavushetsi, the name of the month comes from the word “հոր” (“pit”, “bury”). This is due to the fact that it was in this month that the ancient Armenians buried their entire crop ( grain , barley , wine , etc.) in special pits [1] .
