BiologyObligatory termitophiles living inside termite mounds of mushroom-breeding termites from the Termitidae family ( Macrotermitinae : Odontotermes Holmgren, 1912 and Protermes Holmgren, 1910 ). The grooves and grooves on the wrinkled body are filled with hard-to-remove microparticles of soil, which indicates their living conditions. Larval stages were not detected [2] .
Systematics11 species. Previously, the genus Termitotrox and the tribe Termitotrogini were assigned to the subfamily Aphodiinae [4] , now they are considered to be separate from the aphodyin monotypic subfamily Termitotroginae [2] [3] , or even isolated in the independent family Termitotrogidae [5] [6] . The phylogenetic position of Termitotrox inside Scarabaeidae remains unclear [3] .
