Henry Crater (brothers) ( Latin: Henry Frères ) - impact crater in the southwestern mainland on the visible side of the moon . The name is given in honor of the French scientists involved in astronomy and optics , the discoverers of asteroids working at the Paris Observatory , Paul-Pierre Henri (1848-1905) and Mathieu-Prosper Henri ; approved by the International Astronomical Union in 1961

Crater Description
Prior to its renaming under the name “Henry brothers”, two craters were meant: the actual Henry crater (brothers), which was called Prosper Henry, and the Henry crater, which was called Paul Henry. Under these names, the mentioned craters can be found on old lunar maps. The closest neighbors of the crater are the Burgi Crater in the south-south-west; Henri Crater in the east and Viet Crater in the south-southeast [1] . The selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater are , diameter - 42 km [2] , depth - 3.75 km [3] .
The crater shaft has a polygonal shape with a small protrusion in the southeastern part, due to perspective distortions when observing from the Earth it seems oval in shape, has slight damage. The shaft height above the surrounding area is 1050 m [4] , the volume of the crater is approximately 1300 km³ [4] .
The bottom of the crater bowl is relatively flat except for the western part; in the northern part there is a small crater. The bowl of Henri Crater (brothers) is crossed by a light beam from the satellite crater of Burgi A; it is also included in the list of craters with dark radial bands on the inner slope of the Association of Lunar and Planetary Astronomy (ALPO).
