Johnson played for the Tigers of Louisiana State University . She owns a university record for transmissions . Simon Augustus was her teammate.
WNBA
Temika Johnson was selected under the common sixth number in the 2005 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics team. In Johnson’s first season at the WNBA, many scolded her for being too short for basketball. After being named rookie of the year ZHNBA at the end of the season, she became the lowest player in history to receive this award. Also this year, she took second place in assists for the game throughout the championship. In 2006, she was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks , and before the 2009 season she was traded to the Phoenix Mercury , with whom she became the champion in the championship. In January 2012, she was exchanged at Tulsa Shock for Andrea Riley .
Team Career
Johnson was a member of the U.S. youth team, winning a gold medal at the World Championships in Croatia .
