Creation History
The first two trainee cars, which received a new model 71-617, were built in 1994 by order of Moscow . Initially, the cars were built in the body of 71-608K , later the bodies of 71-608KM were used . The trainees were redeveloped: the cabin space was increased, an additional instructor chair was installed, and control mechanisms were duplicated [1] . Subsequently, when overhauling these cars at the TRZ, the name plates were changed to new ones, in which the model was indicated as 71-617KM.
Operating cities
As of January 2014, tram models are operated in Moscow and Taganrog . After Moscow distributed old cars, the model ended up in Tomsk and Irkutsk.
