Smirnovo is a village in Zarinsky district of the Altai Territory of Russia . Included in the rural settlement "Novokopylovsky village council . " The population is 306 people ( 2009 ) [2] .

History
In 2009, the territory of the Smirnovsky Village Council was incorporated into the Novokopylovsky Village Council.
Geography
The village is located in the north-east of the Altai Territory, in the south-western part of the Zarinsky district, on the banks of the Gonoshiha River (a tributary of the Chumysh River ). The absolute height is 205 meters above sea level [3] . The distance to the district center (city of Zarinsk ) is 15 km.
