French Cajun ( French: français cadien / français cadjin ), sometimes referred to as the Louisiana Regional French [2], is the common name for French variations spoken in Louisiana , USA , especially in its southern parishes, as well as small communities in southeast Texas . It exists along with the Louisiana Franco-Creole language used by the local African American population.
