Like the rest of the team ( Estella Agsteribbe , Elka De Levy , Helena Nordheim and Anna Dresden-Polyak ), as well as the team coach Gerrit Clearcover was Jewish [1] [2] and was harassed during World War II .
In 1935 she married Bernard Timans. The couple headed the Central Jewish orphanage in Utrecht [3] .
The couple were deported to Sobibor together with 70 pupils of the orphanage, of whom only a few people survived the war. Bernard, Yudika, their five-year-old daughter Sonia and the three-year-old son Leon were killed after their arrival.
In 1997, the entire Netherlands national gymnastics team was included in the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame [4] .
In 2010, near the building of the former orphanage in Utrecht, stumbling blocks were installed, including in memory of Yudik [5] .
